The Roselle Arts and Culture Foundation is our community’s art
organization that promotes the benefits of creative expression
and cultural awareness to teach the appreciation of art in all
forms, functions, and disciplines.

Buy a Brick to Support
Roselle’s First Responders
A personalized brick with an engraved family, company, special friend, colleague, or even a beloved pet name is a nice way to honor them while supporting Roselle’s First Responders. The bricks will be installed near the First Responders relief sculpture on the exterior of the police station.
About RACF & Our Vision
The Roselle Arts and Culture Foundation was formed in 2021 by Karen Ostrander and Lora Troesken. They both had the idea of creating a public art mosaic in Roselle. Their vision was quickly put into action by Mayor David Pileski who urged Ostrander and Troesken to partner with the village on its forthcoming centennial. Thus, the Roselle Centennial Mosaic Public Art Project and, quite organically, the RACF was born.
Accomplishments
In less than two years, the RACF established a non-profit 501 C3 status, and raised enough funds to design and create our first piece of public art – the Centennial Mosaic Mural – commemorating Roselle’s 100 Year Anniversary.
Other public art accomplishments include:
• 2022 Centennial Relief Sculpture
• 2023 Andy Warhol Anniversary Promotion – collaborating with College of DuPage Arts Center
• 2023 First Place Winner in the Rose Parade – Float Design
Our Work in the Community
Lake Park Art Students Help In Our Vision
In 2021 we decided to promote our talented Lake Park honors artists by framing their best work along the Roselle Park Districts Pathway. Today (in 2024), we have collaborated with them again to design and paint wooden birdhouses that will be featured on the premises of the Park District. One of these artists, Anthony Johnson, has joined our Foundation as the Art Liason to Lake Park. He has been very instrumental in helping us achieve our vision. We hope someday to further our support to senior art students in Roselle by establishing an art scholarship.
Rose Ambassador
The Rose Ambassador Scholarship Event is to offer local high school students an annual opportunity to compete for college scholarships totaling over $5,000.
The event consists of six areas: application and essay, personal interview, casual wear, talent, formal wear, and Q&A. Contestants must be high school students and either live in Roselle or be a student at Lake Park High School. The RACF recognizes the Rose Ambassador not only for its merit but as an integral part of art and culture in Roselle.
