ABOUT US

Founded in 2021, while still in the throes of the pandemic, Karen Ostrander and Lora Troesken met on a bench to discuss their thoughts for a public art mosaic in Roselle. Their vision was quickly put into action by Mayor David Pileski who urged Ostrander & Troesken to partner with the Village on its forthcoming centennial. Thus, the Roselle Centennial Mosaic Public Art Project and, quite organically, the Roselle Arts and Culture Foundation was born.

As a 501 (c) (3) public charity, the RACF draws members from all walks of life. They bring diverse experiences and perspectives that keep the organization’s activities both fresh and inclusive. While a majority of the board and staff have creative backgrounds, others are simply art aficionados with an abiding love for the Village we call home. All members, however, share an interest in economic prosperity, accessibility, and community engagement. The RACF plans to strengthen these interests through concerted efforts to deliver meaningful art and culture to Roselle and its surrounding communities.
